This week we’ve been talking about Yubo –which, if you haven’t heard of it before, you could be forgiven for mistaking it for a yoghurt brand! But it’s actually a social live-streaming app that helps young people make friends. Our safety experts took a look – read more here.

We’ve released an online safety briefing about the trending game Poppy Playtime, a horror game that’s full of jump scares. Like most games of this genre, it can cause feelings of fear – learn about the game and how to support a child or young person with those feelings at this link.

Researchers have called for a study into how TikTok affects the health of users. Their research proposal calls for an investigation into areas such as alcohol and vape use and if the app has an impact on the mental health of teenage girls.
